Emmaline & Will
Emmaline & Will, two English people living in London and passionate about fine wines, gastronomy and Burgundy, have decided to tie the knot at Domaine de l’Abbaye de Maizières on August 31, 2024, before embarking on a honeymoon in Beaune. Emmaline works in the marketing area, while Will is in the music industry and cultural events production. Together, they form a lively and warm-hearted couple, lovers of travels and quality time spent with their friends. They envisioned an intimate blessing under the shade of centuries-old trees in the abbey’s park, a cocktail hour serenaded by the trumpet and guitar sounds of a jazz band, and a wild, fun and crazy party brought to life by a clever mix of English rock, Taylor Swift songs (fun fact: Emmaline, like me, is a “Swiftie,” so Taylor Swift’s songs played throughout the day, from her preparation to the dancefloor), and DJ sets performed by some of their nearest and dearest loved ones, including one by the groom himself! Long banquet tables to enhance conviviality, bright-colored flowers, and an orangery softly lit by dozens of lamps and candles set the tone for this unforgettable day… – Photo credits – Venue: Domaine de l’abbaye de MaizièresOrganisation: D DayFurniture rental: Beaune réception et SoredisFlorist: Le clos végétalDress: Aesling brideMake up: Alison – Le CachemireHair: Déborah SalvatCaterer: Maison DansardMusic band: Hot jazz brothers back to reports
Orane & Franck
Orane and Franck are the kind of people you meet and never forget. These two lovers of nature met during their landscape architecture and design studies ten years ago. At the time, Orane was already in a relationship, and Franck patiently waited for her, as if he had sensed from their very first glance a promise of eternity. I instantly formed a unique and indescribable bond with Orane, right from our first conversations. She initially reached out to me on the recommendation of Mélie and Guillaume, also known as The Sweet Romance, a talented duo of wedding planners and decorators I often collaborate with on beautiful weddings. Over the months, through sporadic messages (a photo from her dress when she found the one, voice notes sharing her disappointments, her questions, and the inevitable good and bad surprises of the final months of preparation…), I began to glimpse a truly extraordinary and timeless person. Infinitely kind, both gentle and strong, Orane is someone with whom I instinctively felt a shared sense of vulnerability, a few cracks here and there that only deepened our connection. As a professional florist, Orane dreamed of a contemporary and graphic aesthetic which, of course, celebrated flowers — refined, sensual, and elegant. To fully honor the depth of their love, Orane and Franck chose an outdoor secular ceremony, aiming for something authentic, simple, warm, and free of unnecessary frills. They exchanged deeply moving vows on August 17, 2024, in an orchard under the shade of fruit trees. It was a true slice of earthly paradise for a timeless moment, watched over tenderly by their very own little piece of heaven: their son, Eden… – Photo credits – Venue: Domaine Imodis Decoration, organisation and stationery: The Sweet RomanceFlorist: CynaraDress: White & LaceHair: Need coiffeur créateurMake up: Pauline HauckCaterer: Traiteur M back to reports
Julie & Kees
Julie & Kees met for the very first time in the spring of 2014 in Leiden, a city in the Netherlands where they were both students at the time. As fate would have it, their paths cross on a night out with friends. Kees falls instantly in love with Julie – it’s love at first sight. Julie, on the other hand, takes longer to be sure of her feelings. After a few months, they meet again, and have been together for ten years. Together they share many passions, such as travel, cooking, good wine, nature, sport… and their two cats! As they told me from the outset, they form a complementary couple, in which naturalness and spontaneity prevail: Julie is a little more anxious and indecisive by nature, while Kees brings serenity and perspective. They are the driving force behind their respective projects, and I was particularly touched to see that they don’t hesitate to express mutual pride in each other’s achievements and successes. They feel as though they’ve grown up together, moving from student life to working life, achieving many milestones together. In particular, they backpacked across Asia for three months right after graduating! They then decided to move to Luxembourg, where Kees, of Dutch origin, found his first job. Uprooting, loneliness, doubts, the COVID-19 pandemic: this first year in Luxembourg was not all plain sailing for the couple, who emerged stronger and more solid than ever. So they recently decided to buy their first apartment, and will be moving in right after their wedding. We can’t end this article without mentioning Kees’s superb proposal during an Italian getaway on the Amalfi coast… A surprise proposal for Julie, who only learns of their destination once they arrive at the airport. She’s convinced that Kees has planned a weekend for her birthday. On the rooftop terrace of the hotel where the two were staying, with the ocean as far as the eye could see, Kees had printed out a hundred snapshots of them, got down on one knee, and asked his lifelong partner to become his wife. The following day, they had the chance to sail along the coast before a final dinner in a restaurant nestled in the hollow of a rock to bring this exceptional moment to a fitting close. I had the privilege of accompanying Julie & Kees on August 3, 2024 for their secular wedding celebrated in the Château d’Art-sur-Meurthe in Lorraine, an intimate wedding in a very small group (surrounded by around forty of their closest friends and family), placed under the sign of multiculturalism and sharing… – Photo credits – Location : Château d’Art-sur-MeurtheFloral decoration: InfiiorataMake up & hair: Styling by MelinaCatering: Marco Tullio back to reports
Anne-Sophie & Aram
Anne-Sophie is French and currently lives in Rome. Aram is Armenian. They met at their common workplace, at the UN. Their love of travel is a passion they share both at work and in the city. Their interests? French gastronomy, ecology, the discovery of new horizons and new traditions. Their wish for this multicultural wedding was to create a timeless interlude during a balmy summer weekend in Lorraine. To live a unique experience, surrounded by friends and family from all over the world, meeting for the very first time. They wanted a romantic setting, with a religious ceremony officiated by one of Aram’s close friends, a man of religion who had come specially from Israel for the occasion. Refined French cuisine, served at the table. A musical atmosphere that would unite their cultures and celebrate their origins. They were united on June 15, 2024 at the Château de Vandeléville in an elegant, authentic and warm setting combined with sober, chic decor. White flowers and candles galore for a day of sharing and emotion… – Photo credits – Location : Château de Vandeléville Decoration & organization: Just a matter of courseStationery: NIN’sDress: Mannda Jolie bridleHairdresser : Charlotte & CindyCatering : Marco TullioOrchestra : Cameleon orchestre back to reports
Emmanuella & Mathieu
Emmanuella & Mathieu have been a harmonious couple for almost eight years. Their rich backgrounds and personalities make them one of my favorite couples of the 2024 season. They met for the first time at the end of 2015 in a bar in Nancy. They bumped into each other again some time later at a party, and this time it was obvious: they teased each other, sought each other out, tamed each other. They never leave each other’s side. Mathieu is a real estate salesman, while Emmanuella is an area manager for a major DIY chain. Together, they share a love of interior design, travel, gastronomy, good wine and spending time with friends. When Emmanuella contacted me a year ago to tell me about their upcoming wedding, I knew right away that I was in for a special treat. From what her message told me about her and their relationship, I felt we had a lot in common, including that little touch of madness and spontaneity that makes for the magic of beautiful encounters. She wrote to me: “I’m a great dreamer, sensitive to anything artistic. Behind the glitter, Mathieu and I love all the simple moments. And of course, we love each other with a very strong, luminous and unpretentious love.” This ability to listen to each other and follow their desires made their wedding a wedding in their image, filled with love, humor, fun, letting go and naturalness. For those of you who regularly follow my publications on social networks, you’ve probably already seen this adorable couple pass by, as I was also at their side for their civil wedding, celebrated at Nancy town hall on the mythical and historic Place Stanislas. I then met up with Emmanuella & Mathieu on May 31, 2024 for their church wedding in Autigny-la-Tour. A misty, rainy morning gave way to bright sunshine and a romantic, joyful atmosphere all day long… – Photo credits – Location: Place Stanislas – Nancy MUA & Coiffure: Crescendo beautyDresses: Elya coutureFlowers: The sweet romanceModels: Élisa Gonnot & Amélia Bur back to reports
Ultraviolet
Ultraviolet radiation, also known as “black light” because it’s generally invisible to the naked eye. Invisible, intangible, unfathomable, like the magnetism between Helen & Josh, two magnets inexorably drawn to each other. Let me propel you into the timeless cocoon of Helen & Josh, who longed to marry in Paris, the city of their hearts, the city steeped in history where it all began. It was a summer’s day when their eyes met for the first time, on the corner of Rue de Turennes and Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Love at first sight was instantaneous, but Josh was just passing through Paris and Helen had recently moved to the capital. Yet they can’t bring themselves to walk away, not to give a chance to what they see as the meeting of a lifetime. In the months that followed, they kept up a steady rhythm of virtual and epistolary exchanges, and made regular round-trips between Paris and London to give themselves time to discover and get to know each other. Time to love each other. The beginnings of a cross-border love affair only strengthened the alchemy and the obvious, until that sunny April day when their union became eternity. Modernity, glamour and intimacy were the watchwords of this editorial elopement, which took place in the heart of the capital in a Haussmann apartment. The scenography, imagined by Salma Kagnali of Jasmin & Peonies, subtly blends the eggplant color brought by the floral arrangements created by Virginie Martel of Les Jolies Feuilles, which contrast with the white, beige and silver tones, and the organic materials we placed sparingly in the table decor (blackberries, mushrooms, sea salt,…). Sublimated by Laure Baruch, Helen wore a short wedding gown by Mannda Jolie bride, and a long gown by Meryl Suissa, as well as delicate, resolutely feminine jewelry by Amarnam. A black tuxedo by L’Apiéceur was worn by Josh. – Photo credits – Location: @shooting.haussmannien.paris MUA & Coiffure: Laure BaruchOrganized by: LGA EventsDecoration: Jasmin & PeoniesFlorist : Les jolies feuillesStationery : KoklycoCeramics : Laetitia FauchèreFurniture : Maison OptionsDress 1: Milla Nova – Milla Nova by Mannda Jolie brideDress 2 : Meryl SuissaCostume: L’ApiéceurJewelry: AmarnamModels : Heloïse Moriceau & Maël Futnet back to reports
Lucile & Quentin
The off-season is, as you know, an opportunity to take time out for a few personal projects, so as to create high-quality content that is fully in tune with your world. So I asked Lucile and Quentin, two models from Strasbourg, to give life and substance to a desire I’d had in the back of my mind for a few months, an urban photo shoot and wedding editorial in the Gare district, right in the heart of Strasbourg, alone in the world on the roof of an overhead parking lot with a breathtaking view of the whole city… like a whiff of New York with its skyscrapers and horns! – Photo credits – Location: Place Stanislas – Nancy Models: Lucile & QuentinMakeup artist: Pauline Hauck – @pauline_hck_makeup back to reports
Julie & Timofei
Julie & Timofei are one of those atypical, colorful and intensely lively couples that leave a lasting impression. Last June, I decided to contact Julie, who I’d been following on Instagram for a while. I really liked her world, and the raw sensitivity and rebellious poetry that emanated from this little tattooed twenty-four-year-old woman. With a degree in modern literature, this seasoned photo model and lover of the written word also has her head full, as she is currently working on her first book, Signé : la Nuit, a collection of thoughts emerging from her somnambulistic wanderings and nocturnal reflections. Her tattoos reveal bits and pieces of herself, a half-open window onto her essence: spleen, art, baby, ultraviolence… so many words engraved in indelible ink beneath her skin that she wears proudly as a claim to herself, a cry to the world around her. Timofei is a digital marketing consultant. Together, they have always lived in Strasbourg, but dream of new horizons and plan to move to Bali by the end of the year. With these two, it was one of those obvious, simple, fluid sessions… An alchemy and sensuality that bursts through the lens and needs no words to transport… – Photo credits – Location: Nancy Models: Julie Ingold & Timofei NovaikinMUA: Ellie Molinero back to reports
Élisa & Amélia
I’d been dreaming of organizing an editorial shoot with a duo of girls for a long time, just waiting for the perfect occasion, the perfect models. I stumbled across Elisa’s Instagram profile a few months ago by the merest chance, and immediately fell under the spell of that intense gaze and cascade of brunette hair. After contacting her with my idea, I was won over by her enthusiasm and proactivity. So she quickly thought about who would be the ideal pairing, and immediately thought of Amelia, with whom she had shared the podium on several occasions in the past. Indeed, these two beautiful young women were both elected Miss Moselle a year apart, and thanks to this extraordinary joint experience, they have forged a strong bond. The Moselle region of France was well represented at this event, held in the heart of Place Stanislas in Nancy, where the capricious weather alternated between showers and sunny spells, producing a graphic, architectural, glamorous and 100% feminine result… – Photo credits – Location: Place Stanislas – NancyMUA: Crescendo beautyDresses: Elya coutureFlowers: The sweet romanceModels: Élisa Gonnot Amélia Bur back to reports
